Mackenzie’s Hearts
A collaborative art show created in memory of my daughter Mackenzie who lived for 8 days - due to SIDS. Each year since her passing I have done an art project in her memory. This year is the 10th year that I have created projects in her memory. I decided to make 8 3D heart paintings and ask 8 local artists to decorate them in any way that they wanted.
The artists part of this project are
Adrienne Wiley - owner of Covet PS in the Flannery Exchange Building in Palm Springs
Anne Bedrick - an abstract artist based in the Perez Art District
Betsy Enzensberger - an artist known for her fun popsicle sculptures
Denny Pascasio - an artist known for his cartoon fun artwork who also works at Palm Springs Art Museum
Ilan Leas - an artist based in Joshua Tree that exhibits in the same gallery as myself - Janssen Art Space
Kathleen Strukoff - known for her plein-air artwork and modernist impressionist paintings
Lynda Keeler - an abstract artist that shows at Janssen Art Space
Steven Janssen (owner of Janssen Art Space), I've known Steven for 17yrs and had my first art show in Palm Springs at his gallery in 2008.
Due to others wanting to participate there are 30+ smaller hearts (4" x 4") that will be part of the art show created not just by local artists, but also some friends and other connections that connected with my art project and wanted to take part.
Large 16” Hearts are $850 and mini 4” Hearts are $95
